Physical Therapist
Meliza is a licensed physical therapist and a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist at the Centreville location. Originally from the DC metropolitan area, Meliza earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy and Bachelor of Science in Biology degrees from The George Washington University. She is a certified IASTM practitioner and SFMA Level 1 & 2 Certified with Functional Movement Systems. She is a member of The American Physical Therapy Association and Orthopaedic Section.
Meliza has experience working with patients of various ages with a wide variety of orthopedic conditions. She develops treatment programs for individuals integrating the patient’s personal goals, patient education, and evidence-based practice including various manual techniques and therapeutic exercises to achieve functional independence. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, working out, cooking, and cheering for DC sports teams.
